Progress
I have a few projects going at the moment. It’s a bit ADD of me, but I blame all the wonderful inspiration I keep getting from everywhere. Really, I’m just letting you know that it’s going to be a while before I post about finished projects.
The first one I’m working on is a challenge for my quilt club. It has to be done by our end of the year banquet on June 18. Unfortunately, this is one of those projects that is looking better in my head than in execution, but I still have work to do.
Next up is Sew You Want To Quilt; also known as the Cathedral Window project I posted a tutorial on last week.
I still need to make a lot of cathedral window pieces and make the background… we’re supposed to have a big chunk done by the 18th as well, so I need to start on that. The background will be part whole-cloth, part disappearing nine-patch. I hope to finish the quilt top this month, but the quilting will probably wait a while. Did you know that the green in Ghastlie Family Reunion is almost dead on for the main green in Nightshade? Now you do.
Tonight, I started a project that I need to finish (quilted and bound) in 30 days. Here’s a really small sneak peak, which is the last you’re going to hear of it until July, sorry.
And outside of the sewing room, we have a ton of yard work that needs to be done, but the rose bushes in the yard have started blooming, so our jungle is pretty, at least. I have a black thumb, so my goal is to touch things as little as possible, but it was exciting to find this rose bush in the back yard, as we didn’t know about it before now.
Okay, time to get off the blog, and back to work!
