Advertising

I’ll be blunt: ad revenue is an important tool in keeping this website up and running, but I refuse to overwhelm visitors with superfluous advertisements or obnoxious popover/popunder/floating ads. If you are a proponent of those, this is not the site you want to advertise on.

Approach

Persons and companies wishing to advertise on raevenfea.com can contact me at rae@raevenfea.com. For best results, be clear in your subject line. Something like “Advertising on raevenfea.com” will catch my attention easily enough.

Paid reviews

I may accept solicitations for reviews. I will not in any circumstances accept payment if the understanding is that I write a glowing review regardless of my personal opinion. I will give an honest review of products, books or services that I have personally used/read. If they have faults, and those faults interfere with my opinion of the product, that will be noted in the review.

Transparency

I value my credibility and the respect of my readers more than monetary gain. As such, I will not accept advertisements that are misleading, offensive or otherwise harmful to my goals and presentation on this site. Additionally, I will not intentionally mislead readers or allow advertisements that intentionally mislead visitors. This includes, but is not limited to, presenting paid content as unpaid reviews. All paid content will have a small disclaimer to that affect.

  • This is an almost completely arbitrary list of blogs I’ve remembered to add so far. I follow so many wonderful ones. I’ll try to keep adding them, but if I showed you all of them, this list would stretch to next week! At last count, I have over 70 quilting/fabric blogs and another 50+ sewing ones in my Google Reader subscriptions, but perhaps some housecleaning is in order…
